So my vacation was totally awesome no matter that it didn't even resemble the one we had originally planned. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to cancel our first family trip to Vt. And I got called in to work Thurs and Friday to put out a small fire on a project I have been involved with. But when life gives you lemons make a lemonade smoothy I always say... Especially with a splash of Vodka in it ;-)
It turns out that relaxing at home and spending time with the family was great. A one day outing to Darrian Lake with my nieces and sister in law and the wife was just enough excitment to wet the appetite. the rest of the week spent lounging and riding bikes was excellent as well. Not to mention I got to make it to all of my martial arts classes was also an added joy.
I have always been one to travel to some new sometimes exotic locations when ever I was afforded some time off. However, making a good vacation out of staying at home was much easier and more enjoyable then I had anticipated. My only regrett was not getting any work done on the boat.
But here I am back at work writting a blog during my pathetic excuse for a lunch(leftover half of a capicol sub potato salad and wasabi coleslaw) but I suppose it could be worse.
Oh look at the clock time to actually get back to work.
